March 20th National Proposal Day

This day is one that puts fear into a lot of guys, March 20th is National Proposal Day. A day for those who have waited patiently for that special person to pop the question.

The National day is also an opportunity to let the loved one in your life know that you are open to a marriage proposal if you haven't talked about it in the past. You're encouraged to use the hashtag #NationalProposalDay on social media. Although you know your partner best and some people could be embarrassed about that on social media so use your own discretion on that.

Just a reminder, proposals don't have to be over the top extravagant. I proposed to my wife Savannah near a dog park close to Fort Missoula. We had been dating for 7 years and I had already asked her parents for her hand in marriage. It was nothing flashy but it fit our relationship as taking our dogs to the dog park will always be a favorite activity of ours.

I will admit that the day before I proposed I got down on one knee and acted like I was proposing only to trick her and just start tying my shoe. I am still in trouble for that.
