Whether or not you believe in astrology, I think it's undeniable that there's some vibes happening right now. Lots of different vibes, some of which are familiar. There's that autumn feeling that makes us want to reach for the flannels from the back of our closets and sip on some pumpkin spice, maybe more than people in any other state. There's also a chaotic and yet somehow reflective vibe in the air right now which feels unique, after all, it's not every day you have a whopping 6 planets in retrograde. Let's take a look at what this Libra season (September 23rd through October 23rd) will mean for us Missoulians without getting too deep in the astrology weeds.

Balance

In case you're a total astrology noob, I'll mention that Libra of Scales is all about balance. Like the work/life balance, maybe you feel you haven't been spending enough time relaxing or having fun. You might start spending more nights watching concerts at The Top Hat or start spending more time outdoors, hiking the M while it's still nice out or visiting the Turner Farms Pumpkin Patch. Alternatively, you may have overdone it on the summer excitement and will spend more of your time productively this autumn.

In Libra season it's also common to seek balance in our relationships. We just passed Virgo season where we'll often overextend ourselves trying to serve others but now our stamina for that is fading. We'll have a particular appreciation for those we can approach as equals. For that reason we may have more love for The Griz than ever because every Griz fan is equally awesome, so let's all high five each other.

6 Planets in Retrograde

Every once in awhile a planet will go into something called "retrograde" and I'm not hippie enough to properly explain why, but it means that our plans may be disrupted by some chaos, and we may feel more desire for reflection. Libra season is reflective enough without the help of 6 whole planets in retrograde, so don't be surprised if you find yourself on a long walk through memory lane.

Autumn Vibes

Here in Missoula we have everything we need to make the most of our early autumn. Yes, we'll spend some time alone assessing our life, but Libra season is also quite social. Let's get together to watch football and clink our mugs full of a fall brew or that delicious pumpkin spice.
