I spent the past weekend up in Whitefish, along with 15,000 others, as we jammed out to Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Dwight Yoakam, Band of Horses, Jenny Lewis, Cody Jinks, and a whole lot more. It was the very first Under The Big Sky music festival, and by all accounts, it seems like it was a huge success.

So of course, with that kind of success, they wanna try and do it again. Organizers are saying they're hoping to do a 2nd Annual Under the Big Sky Festival next year. And I hope they do, too! I was impressed by how well-run the whole operation was for a festival in its first year - it was a great venue with a ton of space, an awesome lineup of artists, and it was easy to navigate. From an audience perspective, it seemed like a huge hit, so I'm glad it appears it was a hit on the business side, too.

So now, we gotta do some brainstorming: who do you want to see perform at next year's festival? This has the potential to grow every year and become Montana's premiere music festival, so think big.
