One of the big weekends in Stevensville is upon us - Western Heritage Days starts Friday, June 16.

The two days include two street dances, a Saturday morning parade and the Ned Larson Memorial Chuck Wagon Cook Off.

Friday, June 16
Arts and Crafts sales start up Friday. The youth chuck wagon cookoff will be Friday afternoon and evening, along with the Stevensville Volunteer Fire Department BBQ for Cystic Fibrosis, "Bully Bingo" with Darby's Darbacious the bull. JD and the Western Front will play for the street dance Friday night from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Saturday, June 17
Arts and Crafts and the food court will be open all day. The Western Heritage Parade will start at 11 a.m. on Main Street. The chuck wagons will be in competition with the Ned Larson Memorial Ceremony and chuck wagon feast at 12:15 p.m. Horse-drawn wagon tours will highlight historic Stevensville homes, Salish dancers and cultural presentations will be at St. Mary's Mission at 1 p.m. The street dance will have two bands from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. - "Country Boogie Boys" and "406."

Both days the model railroaders will have their layout running in the basement of Valley Drug. The beer garden will have local microbrews and the stores will have special sales.
