Royal Blood Announce 2017 U.S. Tour
The British rock duo Royal Blood will kick off a headlining U.S tour on June 2 to support their second album How Did We Get So Dark?.
The album is set for release by Warner Bros. Records on June 16. The band recently described the album as “sexy” and “more confident” than their self-titled debut, which was a No. 1 hit in the U.K. and broke the Top 5 in the U.S.
Several festival appearances will be part of the upcoming tour that spans through mid-August, including Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and the Governors Ball in New York City. The band will also make several festival stops overseas, including Glastonbury, the Eden Sessions in Cornwall and the Summer Sonic Festival in Japan.
Though the Mike Kerr, the band’s frontman, said the ideas for the album were still “all in his head” at the close of 2016, the band has already revealed several tracks from the upcoming album. They performed “Hook, Line and Sinker” at the 2015 Reading Festival and contributed “Where Are You Now” to the the HBO series Vinyl in 2016. The group also released the album’s first single, “Lights Out,” last week.
Tickets for all dates go on sale at 9 a.m. local time on April 28.
