The Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center has received a 5-star rating in the U. S. News and World Report Best Nursing Homes. Nursing Care Center Administrator Dianne Scotten says receiving the highest rating possible is a significant achievement.

“I think it is important with all the federal regulations out there on nursing homes, to have a 5-star rating is extremely important for the staff knowing that have done so well in caring for our residents,” said Scotten.

According to Scotten it takes a large amount of teamwork to earn a 5-star ranking.

“You have to give a lot of credit to the staff because they work very hard in caring for our residents, making this more of a resident center care facility and that we look at each resident as an individual,” Scotten said.

Only 10 percent of nursing homes in Montana and 13 percent in the nation were awarded the U.S. News Best Nursing Home designation.
