This Friday, Buy Whatever You Want on Bandcamp and All Money Goes to the ACLU

Everywhere you turn, all you hear about is paranoia, fear and the world going down the tubes. We at CLRVYNT understand your feelings, but also want to remind you that YOU can make a difference every day in your own way. Protest. Give. Fight, fight fight.

The people at Bandcamp are making it easy for you. This Friday, February 3, EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR SPENT will be re-routed to the American Civil Liberties Union (on Bandcamp's end; artists' portions will still go towards the artists). So, go ahead and buy all the ridiculous pornogrind, Oi, emo, math rock or whatever else you're into — it's all going to a good place. Bandcamp's CEO Ethan Diamond chimed in about the move:

We believe that knowledge and empathy are crucial weapons against fear and intolerance. We hope that, as you listen to these albums, you’ll not only discover some great new artists, but will also gain a further appreciation and understanding for the way music transcends all borders, and remember that, even in the darkest of times, there is more that unites us than divides us.

Now if only Ted Nugent or Three Doors Down or Kid Rock were on Bandcamp, then we'd have some incredible irony. Sigh.
