It was a game highly anticipated, just like every Griz-Cat football game, with expectations of a close, tough contest.

Add to it both teams being ranked in the FCS Top 10 and playoff positioning at stake. And it was the Montana State Bobcats who came out ready to play and imposed their will against a befuddled, frustrated, confused and outplayed Montana Grizzly team, shell-shocked 24-0 just 20 minutes into the game, and the Bobcats cruised from there, burying the Griz 48-14.

FCS playoff seeds will be announced Sunday morning. With such a lopsided loss, the Griz getting a top-8 seed and a first-round bye seem in jeopardy. We shall see if the Griz will be licking their wounds until December 7 or have to get off the deck right away. So keep November 30 open, Griz fans, just in case. One way or the other, there is still home-game playoff football to be played for your 9-3 Griz.
