The weather watchers were a little surprised by the strength of some of the cloudbursts over the weekend in parts of Montana. In the Hamilton area, at least one storm Saturday night seemed to stall over the northeast part of the city for at least an hour, dropping an unusually large amount of rain, highlighted by some cloud-to-cloud lightning. Sunday night (see photo above), clouds threatened but the results were minor compared to Saturday. It's springtime with the usual June surprises in Western Montana. Enjoy the beauty, but be ready for the rain.
