Watch Indigenous Dancers + Turntables (this is awesome!)
Here in northwest America, some of us refer to eastern Canada as "the other side of Canada." As in, "the concert I want to go to is in Toronto, is that near?" With the answer "no, it's on the other side of Canada." With that said, this video originates from the other side of Canada, in Six Nations of the Grand River Reserve in Ontario, and I've never seen anything like it.
This incredible video features a dozen Indigenous Canadian dancers choreographed with the music of DJ Shub, plus, some vocals and break dancing. Honestly, you just gotta watch it, it's impressive and unique, see the video "Calling All Dancers" below. Meanwhile, it has been announced that the annual Arlee Powwow has been cancelled due COVID-19 concerns, which is sad, but we're glad the community is being proactive in preventing a second wave or further spread of the virus.
