Sad news today as the Arlee Powwow Committee has announced that there will be no 4th of July celebration this year due to COVID-19 concerns. The Committee said they took all aspects of ways to move forward with the annual event into consideration, however, ultimately decided to side with caution and cancel. Tribal members on the Arlee Facebook page have been posting their disappointment, but gratitude that the Arlee community will be proactive in making safety a priority. The powwow would have been held from July 1st to July 5th this year.

The cancellation does include the rodeo as well. This would have marked the 122nd year of the Powwow, which is free and open to the public and held at the Arlee powwow grounds, along with a rodeo, each Independence Day weekend. Stay healthy and positive, we look forward to gathering again in 2021!
