You know what they say, "those trees aren't gonna plant themselves!"

That's where you come in and lend a helping hand this weekend.  If you're free on Saturday or Sunday and willing to do a little physical labor to help Mother Nature, Trees for Missoula has 75 trees to plant and could use the extra help.

October is Neighborwoods Month.  What?  You've never heard of it?  Well, you'll learn first hand when you're planting trees to help the City's Urban Forestry Division and Trees For Missoula reforest local streets and parks.

If you've thought about it in the short time it's taken you to read this article - and you decided you're down to help on Saturday or Sunday - you need to RSVP for the event.  You can do that by emailing Karen.Sippy@treesformissoula.org.

They say the location and details will be provided to you after you RSVP.  But the Facebook event page also lists the location as Fort Missoula.

And here's a beautiful bonus - you can even roll out of bed late and still help.  Tree planting   festivities don't begin until noon on both Saturday and Sunday.

The earth thanks you in advance for your time and labor.
