The University of Montana has already spent a good chunk of October transforming part of its campus into a haunted house attraction... and now it's taking a trip through the looking glass for an even stranger one.

The University Center is being transformed into a vision of Wonderland, inspired by the original work of Lewis Carroll and popularized by years and years of pop culture, including the animated Disney movie and the terrible Tim Burton remake, which included one of the worst scenes I've ever seen in a movie theater.

I hate that dance so much. I'm pretty sure my soul left my body when I witnessed it for the first time and it never returned.

Thankfully, the university's event is NOT taking inspiration from that movie, so it should be a fun time!

The event is totally free and open to anybody in the Missoula community, and they've got tons of activities planned which include a Mad Hatter Hat Decoration Station, a Lunchtime Costume Parade, bingo, chess, trivia, a costume contest, and of course, the Mad Hatter's Tea Party.

The event is happening on Thursday, October 28th and will be happening all day long, from 10 AM to 6 PM.

So now is the time to coordinate your costumes with your friends - but how do you tell your two ugliest friends that they have to be Tweedledee and Tweedledum? That's for you to figure out.

You can check out all the info for the event on their Facebook event page.
