The second to last First Friday is coming up on November 5th and All Nations Health Center will be teaming up with the Jeannette Rankin Peace Center for a special event. By the way, have you been to the Peace Center since they reunited all of the pieces of the old Waterworks peace sign? If not, it's awesome, here's a pic.

On Friday, November 5th from 5 to 8 p.m. All Nations Health Center and the Jeannette Rankin Peace Center will feature local Indigenous artists with an intention to highlight "beadwork, ledger drawings, and other art forms created by Native artists." All artists will be invited to sell their work during the show and will keep 100% of the profits. In fact, the Peace Center has offered to reimburse artists for any travel costs incurred to participate in the show.

If you know someone who would love the opportunity, or if you are interested in being a part of the show, please contact Dre Castillo at acastillocreations@gmail.com and (406) 274-0520 or Jacqueline Flewellen at peace@jrpc.org and (831) 291-7253. They are also available to answer any questions you may have about participating.

They'd like to confirm a few artists by this weekend so that they can begin to market and publicize the event to a broader audience. They'd love to include your name on the materials and, if possible, a photo of your work! Attached is the draft of the flyer. Feel free to contact us at any time.

We appreciate and honor Indigenous people for their legacy as protectors of the land and environment and we commit to being allies to them in the work for environmental and racial justice. -Jeannette Rankin Peace Center

Please spread the word and we'll be looking forward to seeing your work at First Friday!
