The Shack Cancels Plans for a Sale This Week
Over the weekend we heard Missoula's legendary breakfast spot The Shack was sold and closing, so we shared the news with you and it brought some locals to actual tears.
Welp. I logged on to share the very heartfelt message that The Shack posted on their Facebook page only to find the post had been removed. It was this really nice note of gratitude to our community and their customers. They also had an event planned for this upcoming Saturday where they were going to allow fans to take memorabilia off the walls at The Shack, that sale has been canceled.
As you can imagine, at first glance of the new message below, I got super excited thinking the sale of the business was canceled, sadly, that is not the case.
A new message on Facebook reads,
Missoula and Friends of The Shack,
We are going to cancel the plans for a sale this week, and if we have any news on the subject we will announce it on here.
Correction: An earlier version of the article indicated the sale of the business had been canceled rather than the sale of memorabilia.
