25 year-old Logan Christopher will spend at least the next 35 years in prison when he is sentenced in Ravalli County District Court for two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder and felony criminal endangerment.

Ravalli County Attorney Bill Fulbright detailed the charges against Christopher from the incident that occurred in March at his parents’ property near Stevensville.

“He came to court this morning and pleaded guilty to five separate felony crimes,” said Fulbright. “These included deliberate homicide of the mother of his children, a young lady named Marissa Wahl, deliberate homicide in the shooting death of his mother, a lady named Tiffany Greenslade.”

In addition to an attempted murder charge in which he shot his father, Christopher was charged for placing his two small children in grave danger in the trailer where the two victims were shot and killed, in addition to a high speed car chase.

“Criminal endangerment for the fleeing and pursuit that happened after he had shot these folks,” he said. “That was basically from Stevensville through Missoula on Highway 93 in the very streets of Missoula. It was extremely dangerous conduct in which fortunately, no one was injured.”

Fulbright said the prosecution and defense have adopted a framework for Christopher’s sentence after pleading guilty to all charges.

“We expect the sentence to be life plus 20 years,” he said. “That’s what we’re going to recommend, and he’s actually agreed through his attorney that they will also recommend that sentence, a life sentence plus 20 years. The realistic impact of that is that it will be at least 35 years before he is even eligible to ask for parole.”

Fulbright said that Christopher’s blood tested positive for cocaine when he was apprehended in Missoula after the murders.
