Southgate Mall Fireworks Show Returns in 2017 …at a New Location

For more than 30 years, Missoula’s Southgate Mall has hosted thousands of spectators each 4th of July to honor our nation’s independence with a festive fireworks display and more. Sadly, they had to cancel the 2016 celebration due to a last minute issue with their long time fireworks company partner.

Great news for 2017! The Southgate Mall will present a 4th of July fireworks celebration, but it won't be at the mall. The fireworks will actually take place at the Missoula County Fairgrounds.

The Southgate Mall invites you to bring your family and blankets to lay back in the Carnival Lot to enjoy the fireworks display. Parking will be in Lot A, please use the east entrance (main entrance) to access the fairgrounds.

The city band will begin playing patriotic music at 9 p.m., with the fireworks show starting around 10:30 p.m.

The 4th of July falls on a Tuesday this year, so this is a great option for those who have to be at work and can't get out of town for the holiday.
