Uh oh, looks like you're gonna have to be pretty careful when buying your turkey for Thanksgiving dinner this year. According to the CDC, there's been a nationwide salmonella outbreak and it's linked to, you guessed it, raw turkey.

164 people have already been infected since November 8th across 35 states. The worst part is, they have no idea where it's coming from, which means any turkey purchased is potentially at risk.

So that's... terrifying. But it's not all bad! The CDC has some tips to prevent salmonella. For example, they say to thaw your turkey in the fridge rather than on the kitchen counter, and to wash your hands but not the meat itself.

Hopefully this is all squared away before Thanksgiving next week, but it's definitely concerning. Will this change your dinner plans? Maybe gonna swap out that turkey for a tofurkey?
