It’s hard to believe Rick and Morty Season 3 is finally upon us (for real), but even July 30 seems too far away. Go inside the first two episodes with new featurettes, including a Mad Max-type world, and sneak a peek at the new opening credits!

Seeing as the July 30 premiere is likely to return us to “The Rickshank Redemption,” McNugget sauce and all, the above featurette looks back on the fake backstory Rick created for himself, and whether the character needs a real one. The following week’s “Rickmancing the Stone” will take us to a Mad Max-inspired world, or – as Dan Harmon puts it – “a diesel powered, vehicular field of death and nihilism.”

But why stop there? UPROXX shared a likely look at the revamped Season 3 credits from “Not Justin Roiland” (cough), featuring at least some of the footage glimpsed in the Season 3 trailer. You can check it out at the link, but – in the meantime – here’s Morty’s math teacher with a very disquieting problem:

Elsewhere of Rick and Morty Season 3, set to premiere Sunday, July 30 at 11:30 P.M., we know guest stars will include Community alum Joel McHale and Gillian Jacobs (not necessarily together), along with Susan Sarandon, Christian Slater, Danny Trejo and Peter Serafinowicz. Apart from that, we’ve enjoyed some trippy promos, creator Justin Roiland getting drunk in the studio, Dan Harmon going deep on the show’s existential significance, and the title adventurers crossing over with Alien: Covenant.

We’ll likely hear more soon, so watch the trailer below and stay tuned for the latest on Rick and Morty Season 3.
