Missoula’s Veterans Day Ceremony Moves to New Location
Heads up, this year's Veterans Day Ceremony has been moved to the Fort.
Missoula's American Legion Post 101 typically holds their annual Veteran's Day event at the Dough Boy statue at the Courthouse, but due to construction, they are moving it to the Fort Missoula Regional Park.
The ceremony will be held this Saturday, November 11th from 10:15 to 11 a.m.
Armistice Day, 99 years ago, at eleven o'clock in the morning on the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918 marked the end of hostilities on the Western Front of World War I.
To celebrate that significant date, local Veterans (with Proof of Service) are invited to join the American Legion crew at The Old Post Pub after the ceremony. The community and The Old Post would like Vets to enjoy specials and discounts all day long to show our appreciation to our Veterans and their families.
