Martin Luther King Jr. Day Events in Missoula
Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with these fun and educational events coming up at Imagine Nation Brewing.
On Wednesday, January 10th, be there for a community screening of Ava DuVernay and Common's 'Black America Again'. The movie will be followed by a discussion facilitated by our good friend Ja'Ton Simpson.
On Saturday, January 13th, bring your family and friends to Imagine Nation for 'Color for King,' an evening of Civil Rights coloring and conversation in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
On Monday, January 15th, MLK Day, celebrate MLK's legacy by reading some of his speeches aloud, salon style. It's an intimate and informal gathering, and anyone can read or just listen, or both. This isn't a stuffy academic exercise, think of it as a living room gathering with friends and neighbors. Copies of his speeches will be available so you don't need to bring or prepare anything.
In addition, funds raised at these events will support Montana Campus Compact's annual Read for Peace initiative in Montana Public Schools. And, you can enjoy some great local brews!
