Watch Rise Against’s Emotion-Filled Video for ‘House on Fire’
Rise Against have shared an emotive video for the single "House on Fire" from their latest album, Wolves. The track is the second single to be released from the record.
The band worked with director Daniel Carberry - who previously collaborated with the likes of Skylar Grey and R3HAB - in an effort to capture the relationship between a grandfather and his granddaughter. The clip begins with the innocence of childhood, bleeds into the following coming-of-age years and gives an overall indication of how the actions of individuals can have consequences that can ripple and be felt around the world.
"When you hear it you might hear a kind of classic love-and-loss-like love song ... but the song actually is about becoming a parent," Rise Against frontman Tim McIlrath recently said when he appeared on the 2 Hours with Matt Pinfield podcast. "I like to think I have the world figured out, but once you throw a 13-year-old daughter your way you realize, I have nothing figured out. And this is an incredible challenge that's at the same time worth it."
Next month, Rise Against will tour Australia and New Zealand beginning Feb. 8, followed by a European run in June which will see them play Hellfest in France, Rock AM Ring in Germany, Download Festival in Spain, Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium and the Greenfield Festival in Switzerland. Sandwiched in between are a pair of U.S. dates -- Feb. 22 at The Republik in Honolulu, Hawaii and a headline performance at the Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival, which will be held May 26-28 in Las Vegas.
