Every now and then, another band hires a well-known film director to make a music video for them. Paul Thomas Anderson’s are probably the most well-known, since he’s done videos for Fiona Apple, Radiohead, and now HAIM. This weekend, a new music vid for Manchester Orchestra’s “The Sunshine” hit the web, and it’s just as weirdly sweet and sweetly weird as can be expected from its directors, the Daniels of Swiss Army Man.

Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert helmed the new video, which stars a man, a baby and a couch. The man walks into the baby’s room, picks up his child, and begins singing to it, before lying them both down on the couch for a short nap. While he sleeps, the baby takes over singing the song, its digitized mouth moving along with the words. It’s the kind of thing that makes you a little uncanny valley uncomfortable but is also really cute, which, if you’ve seen Swiss Army Man, is pretty much classic Daniels. And, wow, what an adorable baby.

As the video continues, the baby keeps singing, looks around the room, and then starts to float up into the air. But before this turns into a Close Encounters of the Third Kind situation, the father wakes up snuggled with the baby on their couch and it all ends up being just a dream. Gotta hand it to Daniels, they made that classic cop-out of an ending work perfectly.
