Every high school in Montana, and let's be honest, in the country, has been tasked with coming up with a brilliant way to celebrate their 2020 graduates in a safe, and appropriate way during a worldwide pandemic. No pressure, right? It seems each school is doing something a little different, I've seen Big Sky celebrating their students by featuring each graduate on their social media, and I think we've all seen the wonderful photos of Florence-Carlton seniors along highway 93.

Here's what Missoula's Loyola Sacred Heart has in store for the class of 2020 and their families. This Sunday, May 17th, they invite the public to 'Honk & Holler' for Loyola graduates from 2 to 3 p.m. at Rollin Field. That's where the Rams practice down there, kinda by Osprey ballpark, the 1st Street West and California area. The graduates will be in their caps and gowns and family and friends are invited to decorate their cars in red, white & blue to parade around the track. Parents are invited to decorate the fence with balloons, posters and pictures as well. Should be a great day for it, right now the forecast is calling for cloudy skies and a high around 75 and just a 10% chance of precipitation, just about perfect!

Then, on Sunday, June 28th, Loyola will hold a Senior Awards ceremony, along with Graduation & Baccalaureate Mass. The plan is for 2 p.m. at St. Anthony Parish with details to be announced later, as that is more than a month away and, as we've learned in 2020, a lot can change by then.

Finally, on Sunday, July 26th, their LSH Godspeed Mass is planned for 2 p.m. at St. Anthony Parish, with further details to be determined. So those are the plans thus far, if you know any graduating Loyola Rams, this Sunday is the day to celebrate them! Congrats to the Class of 2020!

A note from the school: Please note that while we are committed to providing a very special experience for our graduates, we cannot guarantee what each specific event will look like until we get closer to the set dates. All plans are contingent upon the regulations and restrictions of the Missoula County Health Department at the time of the event. We will celebrate the Class of 2020 to the very best of our ability while keeping the health and safety of our community at the heart of our decisions.
