In a Montana State Class A football quarterfinal, Hamilton defeated Billings Central 37 to 17 at the Hamilton sports complex.

The first half saw a scoring battle between the two teams, with an early turnover leading to Billings Central's first 7-point score. Hamilton responded with a TD of their own, but missed the PAT. The Broncs scored again with a pass from Carson Rostad to Tyson Rostad and an extra point for 7. Beginning the second quarter it was Hamilton 13 Billings Central 7. The Rams scored next and were answered by the Broncs with Duce run. Billings ended the half with a field goal. At the half, Hamilton led by 3, 20 to 17. The Broncs scored again in the third quarter and led 27 to 17 at the beginning of the final quarter. An interception by Rory Jessop ended the Rams' scoring chances late in the fourth quarter and Hamilton won the game by a final of Hamilton 37 Billings Central 17. It was a bit of revenge for the Broncs, losing last year's championship to the Rams. Hamilton will make the long drive to Miles City for a semi-final playoff next Saturday afternoon.
