The observatory is located atop Blue Mountain at an elevation of 6,300 feet. Astronomers from UM and the Western Montana Astronomical Association will talk about what is being viewed through the telescopes.
These family-friendly events are for all ages. They are free on Friday nights and $20 each on limited-attendance Saturday nights. Either way, you must reserve tickets ahead of time! You can get more information for free Friday nights here and $20 Saturday night admissions here. Friday viewings are scheduled July 6, July 13, August 3, August 10, September 7 and September 14. Saturday viewings are scheduled July 7, July 14, August 4 and August 11.
Friday attendance is limited to 150 people each night. Saturday is limited to only 25 people each night.
