Funko are Releasing Fall Out Boy POP! Figures
The event, which sees toy company Funko announce waves of their popular vinyl figures, is said to include a launch of new products to the Rock & Roll line, and this features three Fall Out Boy pops.
Check out the image of the new figures, which immortalize Fall Out Boy frontmen Patrick Stump and Pete Wentz in vinyl form, below:
Currently, it appears as though we're only getting figures of Stump and Wentz, but if they prove popular, don't rule out Funko releasing pops of Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley further down the line.
Fall Out Boy aren't the first scene band to be immortalized by Funko. Previously, pops of My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way have been released, with four figures commemorating the band's albums Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, The Black Parade and Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys available.
Funko are also set to release a pop celebrating The Black Parade's album art in 2021.
Moreover, blink-182's Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker have been turned into pops, while artists including Linkin Park, Weezer, Metallica, Babymetal and Marilyn Manson have also had figures produced by the iconic toy company.
In other Fall Out Boy news, the band performed on Jan. 17 as part of the celebrations surrounding the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden, with the four-piece featuring alongside performances by artists including Will.i.Am and Carole King. Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Jon Bon Jovi and Demi Lovato - who recently collaborated with All Time Low on a remix of their breakout track "Monsters" - will appear as part of Biden's inauguration ceremony today (Jan. 20).
Fall Out Boy's last album, MANIA, dropped in 2018 and recorded 130,000 first-week sales. Last year, the band featured on the 100 gecs remix of the track "hand crushed by a mallet" alongside D.R.U.G.S. frontman Craig Owens, who is the subject of this week's upcoming Note to Scene podcast.
