It's crazy to look back on all the events that were postponed and canceled last year - there were so many! At least we were able to celebrate Southgate Mall with some booms last 4th of July....even if the pandemic wiped out all the other activities that usually go along with the fireworks. But here's some good news - it looks like we'll get back to combining the fourth and the fireworks with some fun this year.

I found a bag of leftover fireworks in the garage the other week and made the mistake of showing my kids that there were a couple boxes of Pop-Its that went unused a year ago. Needless to say, that was all they asked about until I finally gave in and let them have at 'em. They've been pretty jacked about the 4th of July ever since. And I have to admit that I'm pretty excited as well - excited that Fourth Fest is back at Southgate Mall this year!

The fun will start at 6 PM and the Facebook event page has a list of activities that will lead up to "Missoula's best and only 4th of July fireworks show"..........

• live music + DJ
• local food trucks
• beer garden (21+)
• NEW! Pop-Up Roller Rink (bring your skates, helmet & pads)
• kids activities: KidX Club craft, bounce house, giant sandbox, basketball hoops and more!
• FIREWORKS @ 10:30pm

Oh yes, if you're looking to do a little shopping since you'll be at the mall anyway.....Southgate Mall will be open from 11AM – 6PM on Sunday the 4th. The activities with Fourth Fest will happen in the parking lot in front of Bed Bath & Beyond.
It's been so good to see events return for 2021 - and Fourth Fest should be fun for the whole family! Get more info HERE.
