It's been a little while since we heard anything about this new shop opening up, but it looks like Brooklyn Bagel and Bakery is finally almost ready to open in Missoula.

The Story So Far

You may remember back in January 2021 we heard about a few different places that were going to be opening up in Missoula. One of those was Firehouse Subs, which has been open for a little while now. Almost buried in that news was that, in the same location, a new bagel shop called Brooklyn Bagel and Bakery was also going to be opening up.

Now, according to the Missoulian, Brooklyn Bagel and Bakery seems like it's very close to finally opening its doors.

Here's the Update From Their Website

Brooklyn Bagel and Bakery's website has been updated with a statement regarding their opening, which reads:

We are pushing hard and overcoming the supply chain issues to open shortly.  We appreciate your understanding and look forward to meeting your expectation!!

The website also details the origin of the store, and how the owner was born in New York City and has lived in Montana for seven years now - it sounds like he missed the deliciousness of a New York bagel and was hoping to bring that great taste to Missoula. All the products are 100% made in New York and they've teamed up with top bagel and pastry makers from New York City.

As someone from New York, I can vouch that there's really nothing like a New York bagel - I'm not really sure what it is, but there is a difference. So you can bet I'm pretty excited to check this place out. When they open, you'll be able to find them at 2865 North Reserve Street.
