Do You Know These Montana Drivers? They Deserve A Thank You
It's sad but it's true; the news typically highlights all the bad things that happen and focuses on the negative headlines.
Almost every day, I drive down 7th and make a left turn onto Baxter. This is the turn by The Grandtree Hotel. And day after day, I get stuck there with traffic that has taken the 7th Ave exit from the interstate. Yes, I am well aware of different routes I could take, but this is the one I stick with.
Every now and again, I will get the people who stop in one lane and let all of us turn to go, but the problem is the people in the right lane just keep cruising along and then slam on their brakes when they get to the red light on Oak.
With all that being said, if you are one of these two people who understand the common courtesy of stopping and allowing us to turn, THANK YOU!
This happens probably 6 out of 20 times at this specific spot and I always think "bless your heart for being kind." For the not-so-courteous drivers that think "well that is a hazard" blah blah blah, it's actually not, because the light in front of them is red, they can not go any further, and you're not supposed to block a "driveway."
