Do you have the Nextdoor app? I didn't until our own pet went missing last year, but it's very handy for a lot of things, not just lost animals. If you're nosy like me you can stay abreast of what's happening around your neighborhood, whether is a string of thefts, to why emergency vehicles are in the 'hood, to neighbors helping each other with odd jobs or recommendations for services around town. You'll even get the occasional gardener who wants to unload their harvest on you.

In my latest scroll, I ran across a missing/stolen Bengal cat, which I wanted to share because I found it unusual; the cat is cute as hell and you need to see it; and of course, I know how it feels to have a missing pet. Much like the time our cat went missing, there's a fairly big reward out for Gerti the Bengal, currently at $750 for her safe return, no questions asked, according to it's humans. You can see their full message below, I love how they worded it with love, hoping whoever has the cat will just take good care of her. I would have shared the link to the original post, but Ima be honest with you, I don't know my password to log in on my laptop instead of my phone.

If you don't have the app but have info on Gerti, you could hit me up here at the station, too. I don't know this family personally, but I'd be happy to pass on any info. And if you're wondering about Bengals as pets, like I was, here's a description from Spot Pet Insurance:

Bengal cats are trainable, smart, athletic, fun to watch and play with, loyal, and love water—all great traits for a family pet. They're also vocal and communicative and social with people. If they're introduced early on to dogs or other cats in the home, they are able to bond well and socialize.
