One of the best things about being a kid watching cartoons is that you just don't care when they're from, because the best ones are timeless. Whether it's Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry or Scooby Doo, Where Are You? the best animation has been enjoyed by generation after generation, passed down by those who lived it when they were kids. Soon, a whole new generation will get the chance to enjoy those classic cartoons thanks to the launch of Boomerang as an over-the-top steaming service providing access to some of the most beloved characters and shows from the past.

The Hero Initiative's "100 Project" is a cool recurring collaboration the charity undertakes with various publishers, where together they reach out to one hundred different artists to sketch exclusive sketch variants for milestone issues, with the goal of raising money for creators in need.

Courtesy of Marvel, ComicsAlliance brings you an advance look at new periodical comic books, collected editions and graphic novels going on sale in May 2017 (and in some cases beyond) from the publisher’s mainline Marvel Universe titles, its licensed properties, and the creator-owned label Icon. May is a big month for Marvel as its latest event Secret Empire gets in the swing of things with three issues in the space of one month. There's also a bevy of new number one issues, including a bolstering of the X-Men line with Cable, Generation X, Jean Grey and Weapon X and more debuts including Luke Cage and Secret Warriors.

Image Comics is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and as part of that a select number of its comics each month will feature a variant cover tied to a certain theme. While this month has Image titles with variants based on other Image titles, March is Women's History Month and to celebrate, eleven of Image's titles will feature special variants with 100% of the proceeds going to Planned Parenthood.

As another Steven Bomb ends, we once again enter that dark purgatory in between regular Steven Universe episodes. However, thanks to Kaboom's new Steven Universe ongoing by Melanie Gillman and Katy Farina, we don't have to go entirely Steven-less, as the series launches next week with a story all about Steven, Peridot and Lapis Lazuli discovering an injured baby bird while none of the other, more responsible Crystal Gems are around.
