Arts Missoula Brings Back Awards Ceremony After 2 Years

We're now two years removed from the start of the pandemic, and it really seems like most of the events that were delayed and cancelled repeatedly are finally starting to see their due.

The International Wildlife Film Festival was able to happen in person at the Roxy Theater in Missoula this week for the first time since 2019; Same goes for the WildWalk which kicks off the festival; Both the Montana Brewers Fall Rendezvous and the Garden City Brewfest are ready to make their returns to Caras Park; and now, Arts Missoula is set to bring back their annual awards for their first in-person ceremony in two years.

Arts Missoula's Arts and Culture Awards Are Making A Comeback

The Missoulian reports that Arts Missoula's Arts and Culture Awards will return for an in-person ceremony on Wednesday, June 1st at the DoubleTree Hotel from 4:30 PM to 6 PM. If you're unfamiliar, these awards "honor individuals and organizations whose work in the arts and humanities have made a significant contribution to the community’s quality of life."

Honorees this year include Mayor John Engen, receiving the Cultural Ambassador Award, Bare Bait Dance Company's Joy French, receiving the Individual Artist Award, and University of Montana's director of Jazz Studies Rob Tapper, receiving the Arts Educator Award.
