April Fly Fishing in Montana: Eagles, Rowing and Searching for Pike

Well I went out on another trip looking for pike. This was the first of this year though, but I did go out late last year trying to get one. It shaped up to be a beautiful day!

I grabbed a few pictures of the eagle I saw but they aren't that great but you can tell he is there. The day turned into a nice one, I got some time on the oars but unfortunately did not get any fish. I was throwing a big streamer on a very heavy rod and am learning so I am not sure I was presenting the fly right. I will get a pike one day on a fly rod...

We had some caribou dogs from Alaska! Thanks to Steve and the dog Mouse for a great day on the water.
