When they had to cancel the last show in July, a lot of us probably figured by September 1, things would be okay.

But sadly, that's not the case, as the Missoula Osprey baseball team announced Wednesday that due to the stage-two fire restrictions in Missoula, the low-level fireworks show scheduled for after the Osprey game Friday night, September 1, has been cancelled.

But Osprey baseball is all about fan fun, and in place of the fireworks show, the team released this announcement about a substitute promotion that could score you some nice prizes:

September 1 festivities will now feature a round of SUPER Launch-A-Ball in which the Osprey will give away double the amount of prizes. Highlighting the list of winning possibilities are two  pairs of two reserved season tickets for the 2018 Osprey season and a guaranteed cash prize of $750. While Launch-A-Ball typically features only one season ticket giveaway, the September 1 SUPER Launch-A-Ball doubles the value of top prizes in addition to other SUPER prizes. Fans will have a chance to win bats, balls, memorabilia, and gift certificates from our sponsors. Per standard policy, all promotions are subject to change without prior notice. For tickets to any Osprey game, including the first playoff game on September 11 visit the MSO Hub in downtown Missoula, call 543-3300, or log on to MissoulaOsprey.com.

Here's to cleaner skies, western Montana!
