Annual Cold Smoke Freeride Competition this Weekend
The 2021 Cold Smoke Freeride Competition with Board of Missoula is goin' down this weekend, February 27th and 28th, at Lost Trail Powder Mountain. The all mountain competition is one of the best weekends of the year at Lost Trail and the weather looks like it's going to be awesome! Rendeck Ridge, Femur, Teacup, and the Shelf Chute areas will all closed for the event, Lost Trail would like to remind you to please stay out of these areas if you're not there for the event. The areas will be roped off and you can lose your skiing privileges by ducking rope lines.
Lost Trail is currently open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday snow conditions going into the weekend were reported as the following. We currently have a clear sky a temp of 6°F with a light breeze and the high temp for the day will be right around 21°F. We have received 12” of snow since closing on Sunday and we have 19" in the last 6 days with more snow in the forecast. The National Weather Service says today (Thursday) will be mostly sunny through mid morning. Then becoming cloudy in the afternoon with a 70% chance 2-4” of snow.
