Academy Award Winning Actor and Montanan Michael Keaton Joins #GrizOnGameDay Campaign
GO GRIZ!
With support from celebrities who love Montana and Griz Nation, the #GrizOnGameDay campaign has been on fire for the past few weeks. If the Griz and Bobcats win their games today (11/13), I don't know how ESPN's College GameDay could turn down an invite to the Brawl of the Wild on November 20th. The latest update from ESPN is that Missoula is "on their radar." We're told by insiders that ESPN has already reserved hotel rooms and accommodations for the broadcast to take place here on the 20th, but this is unconfirmed, however, it does make us hopeful!
What is Gameday?
ESPN College GameDay is a pre-game show that is broadcast on Saturday mornings during the college football season. They choose to set up and broadcast from games that kick off at 10 a.m. (noon eastern time.)
Why are we trying to get their attention?
Missoulians have been using the hashtag #GrizOnGameDay and tagging @CollegeGameDay in an attempt to bring the ESPN show to Missoula for the 120th Brawl of the Wild coming up on November 20th.
The latest celeb to join the #GrizOnGameDay campaign is none other than Batman himself, Michael Keaton.
U of M alum JK Simmons also joined in on the effort by posting a video with the hashtag. Gotta LOVE that hoodie!!
A couple of NFL greats have also shared their support for the Brawl of the Wild.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by Missoula Albertson's locations on Friday (11/12) night to help Can the Cats and to sign up for the Brawl of the Wild drawing. Our winner was Jeff from the VFW in Plains!
