I've followed right along as the new Meadowlark building was being constructed on South Third Street West. I should point out that when I say "I've followed along" - what I mean is that every time I would be at the drive thru window of Papa Murphy's I would look across the street and think to myself that the building was making good progress since the last time I was picking up a pizza. So thanks to the handy option of not having to get out of the car when picking up dinner, I've watched the Meadowlark project from start to finish.

The new building is a joint project between the Missoula YWCA and the Missoula Interfaith Collaborative that will offer emergency housing for families and provide opportunities for individuals to overcome homelessness. It'll work to provide a lift to those that are experiencing hardships and help to get them back on their feet.

YWCA Missoula documented their move to the new building on their social media page over the last week. That had to be quite the adventure after having spent the last 46 years in their old building.
