Volunteers are asked to help get Hamilton's new Circle 13 Skate Park ready for grand opening ceremonies this weekend. A delayed installation of grass turf around the concrete facility is hoped to be completed Friday. Hamilton Mayor Dominic Farrenkopf said the underground sprinklers are ready, the surface under the turf has been prepared, but it wasn't until this week that a supply of grass turf could be brought to the site on North 10th.

So, the plan is to lay the turf Friday, July 5th, starting at about 9 a.m. Volunteers are needed. Meet at the skate park. By the way, the park will been closed (see photo above) until the project is completed. Saturday, the park will temporarily open for a Grand Opening ceremony with visiting dignitaries.
