Violent Offenses Highlighted in County Attorney Crime Report
According to the Missoula County Attorney’s weekly crime report on the KGVO Radio Talk Back Show, Kirsten Pabst said there were 10 new felonies charged by her office, with six being violent crimes and three partner or family member assaults.
“One was a PFMA and criminal endangerment combination which we don’t see a lot,” said Pabst. “The defendant was pulling on the wheel of a moving vehicle while the victim was driving. There was a third offense PFMA (felony) where the victim was the stepfather of the defendant, and then a PFMA first offense, partner or family member assault.”
Pabst said there were other crimes that involved traffic offenses.
“In that case, the defendant was driving at a high rate of speed when she almost struck a patrol vehicle,” she said. “Lights and sirens were activated, She eventually stopped, but continued to walk away allegedly even after being ordered to stop. There was one theft case involving stolen mail, and then a fugitive from justice charge.”
Pabst was also involved in a press conference promoting the success of the Project Safe Neighborhoods Initiative, in which law enforcement agencies from all over the state are joining forces to combat the use of methamphetamine.
