UPDATE: Kelly Clarkson Wins Montana Ranch in Divorce Battle
So much for that "ranchin life." The divorce battle between 'American idol' winner Kelly Clarkson and ex husband Brandon Blackstock continues. As the couples prenuptial agreement has held up in court. And it looks like Blackstock's dream of becoming a full time Montana rancher are fading.
Singer Kelly Clarkson and her former husband Brandon Blackstock are currently involved in a very messy divorce. The couple have two children, 7-year-old daughter River Rose and 5-year-old son Remington. Last year the family bought a ranch here in Montana. The ranch became the family's spot to wait out the pandemic. After spending much of 2020 on the ranch, Kelly and Brandon started to grow apart. The back and forth from LA to MT began to wear on the couple.
Blackstock planned on living at the ranch, were he is currently residing. His goal was to leave behind his life in the music industry, and focus on cattle ranching. That might change now that Kelly has the keys to the gates.
According to US Weekly
Documents filed on August 9, Clarkson stated that she was hoping to sell the ranch, describing it as a “financial burden.” Her request was denied at the time. The docs, obtained by Us Weekly, added that if Blackstock fails to pay the costs to maintain the ranch — $81,000 per month — the Voice coach can file another motion to sell.
$81k per month to maintain a ranch? How does anybody make money doing that? Shouldn't be to hard for Blackstock though. As he is still scheduled to receive nearly $200,000 per month in spousal support from Clarkson.
