Well, here's something that a lot of people probably figured was going to happen, but it's still a bummer to see: Under the Big Sky Music + Arts Festival, which would have been taking place in Whitefish this July, has officially been postponed until July 17th and 18th of 2021.

Under the Big Sky Fest began last year with a terrific lineup that included Dwight Yoakam, Jenny Lewis, Nathaniel Rateliff, and more - I was there, and thought it was an awesome inaugural event for what could become a staple of the Montana music scene in the years to come. I think it could still be that, but it's unfortunate to have to see it skip the fest in only its second year of existence.

The good news is that all tickets already purchased will be good for the future show, and they will allow you to get a refund as long as you submit by June 1st. AND they say they were able to secure most of the artists that were supposed to perform this year for next year, on top of more artists that will be announced in the future.

For now, all we can do is hope that concerts are back to normal in 2021 - or if not completely back to normal, able to go on with some modifications. Temperature checks at the door, social distancing guidelines, whatever we have to do, I just really want to get out there and see some live music again.
