Twin Peaks creator David Lynch proved predictably David Lynch with his refusal to divulge details of Showtime’s 18-episode revival, though the eccentric creator at least offered that controversial prequel Fire Walk With Me would serve as important prelude. As such, Showtime will re-run the film in March, affording ample time for another catchup before our May return to the Black Lodge.

Per TVLine, Showtime will air Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me on Wednesday, March 1 at 8:00 P.M., well ahead of the show’s May return. During the most recent TCA press tour, creator (and star) David Lynch cryptically offered of the controversial 1992 prequel-sequel “the story of Laura Palmer’s last seven days” was “very much important for this.”

As it is, the first two season are available to rewatch in Showtime’s library, as well as Netflix. New cast includes the likes of Monica Bellucci, Michael Cera, Tim Roth, Ghostbusters alum Ernie Hudson, Walking Dead star Josh McDermitt, and musicians like Eddie Vedder (who contributes a song) and Trent Reznor.
