We've seen a rash of public events around the country that have been canceled over the last week or so due to growing concerns about the Coronavirus, and it looks like Montana is trying to stay ahead of the curve. Although no confirmed cases have hit Montana yet, Butte is pulling the plug on its annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, which was scheduled to take place tomorrow.

The Butte America Foundation took over the parade four years ago and had promised that this would be "the biggest parade they've ever had." Anybody who had a float signed up for this year will have the option to have the fee waived for next year's parade.
