Make it a Get Fired Up Friday Night, Montana Grizzly football fans. The excitement, fun and energy are back this year at the Yell Night Pep Rally.

As part of UM Homecoming activities this week, and with the forecast calling for a mostly sunny day with a high of 76 leading to a mild, pleasant evening, plan on attending the annual Yell Night Pep Rally on the University of Montana Oval. Activities get under way at 8:00 p.m. this Friday, September 24, in front of Main Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

And what a list of activities it is. The UM Forestry Department and Woodsmen Club with tend the bonfire. There will be free popcorn and soda. The Campus Chorus will perform. There will be the traditional lighting of the "M" and a fireworks show.

And what would a pep rally be for the football team without the players, coaches, cheer squads, mascot and bands?

Yep, the Grizzly football team will be there. Head coach Bobby Hauck will address the fans. The UM Marching Band and Alumni Band will play. The UM cheer squad, dance team and Monte the Mascot will all be on hand, too.

When you arrive, remember that free parking will be available along the east side of campus. If you can find Mount Sentinel, you can probably find a place to park.

And one quick side note for you fans who may be tailgate party orphans. If you are looking for some fun and fellowship before the game, join fellow UM alumni and friends for a pregame Homecoming tailgate party at the River Bowl Saturday starting at 11:00 a.m. Proof of age required.

If you need more information, you can call Office of Alumni Relations: 406-243-5211.
