Tenacious D don't tour very often or for very long stretches of time, so if you're looking to catch Jack Black and Kyle Gass in action, they've announced seven new tour dates set for this summer.

The duo will focus on the Midwest on this brief run, with dates stretching from July 25 through Aug. 5. The D will kick things off at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado and will be joined by the Colorado Symphony, marking the only symphonic event of the run.

The band's most recent release, Post-Apocalypto, came out last year and was their first since issuing Rize of the Fenix in 2012. The record debuted at No. 93 on the Billboard 200, a steep drop-off from Fenix, which ascended to No. 4. The album was also accompanied by a series of short animated skits as well.

Last year, cast members from the Jack Black film School of Rock attended a Tenacious D show, marking a class reunion of sorts.
