We’ve still over a month before Stranger Things 2 turns our lives Upside Down once more, but here’s an early taste. You can read a full page from the Season 2 script right now, as the boys head to the arcade, and poor Mike faces some awkward questions about his sister.

Entertainment Weekly debuted a small scene from Stranger Things 2 in script form, picking up from the “Palace” arcade sequence in that awesome Comic-Con trailer. The dialog alludes to mysterious newcomer Max (Sadie Sink) while poor Will is still experiencing visions of the Upside Down.

Among the other tidbits teased with the scene, creators Matt and Ross Duffer confirmed “The Palace” arcade game as a nod to WarGames, just as use of the word “wastoid” arose from The Breakfast Club (which admittedly didn’t hit theaters until after Stranger Things 2 takes place). You’ll have to visit the link above to read the pages, but – suffice to say – Dustin may have met his match in Max.

Elsewhere of Stranger Things Season 2, we know the next chapter will move from its summer perch to an October 27 premiere. The story will pick up in the fall of 1984, while creators Matt and Ross Duffer have teased a James Cameron sequel influence in crafting the second chapter. We’ll also learn more about the Upside Down, as teased in our exclusive concept art piece, while additional new cast includes Brett Gelman, Goonies alum Sean Astin, Aliens baddie Paul Reiser and actress Linnea Berthelsen. The full list of directors has also been revealed, including Finding Dory helmer Andrew Stanton.

We’ll learn more of Stranger Things Season 2 in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for additional details, and watch the trailer below.
