In 2016, Guitar World called Steve Vai the 10th Greatest Guitar Player in the world. He's sold over 15 million albums, earned three Grammy's, and he's coming to the Alberta Bair Theater in Billings on March 22, 2022. Tickets go on sale Friday morning (9/17) at 10 am at the Pub Station or Alberta Bair Theater.

He's pretty awesome.

Largely known for his solo material, Vai is an accomplished touring musician as well. Over the years he's hit the road with G3, Frank Zappa, Generation Axe, Van Halen, White Snake and Alcatrazz. Steve has lent his talents to over 60 different recordings as well as top video games, blockbuster movies and corporate projects. The TEC Foundation honored Vai with the prestigious Les Paul award in 2012, noting,

Steve Vai’s sheer breathtaking facility on the guitar is acclaimed in the rock world and beyond...Vai has dedicated his talents to creatively advance the language of music. While many artists fit easily into a single category, Steve Vai remains unclassifiable. He is a musical alchemist of the highest order.

Tickets will likely sell-out.

You can be like Steve, with his signature guitar.

Okay, you'll probably never be quite as awesome as Vai, but you can certainly practice with one of his Ibanez signature guitars. It's one of the most popular selling axes in America. Steve is also designed "The Universe", the first commercially produced seven string guitar. Ibanez says,

This instrument inspired a revolutionary metal subculture that started in the mid '90s.

In 1998, Vai started the Make a Noise Foundation and has given away thousands of dollars in scholarships and gear to kids interested in pursuing professional music.
