Soundgarden Announce 2017 U.S. Tour
Soundgarden will pause working on their next studio album long enough to head out on tour this spring.
The band has announced a run of U.S. dates that's set to start April 28 in Tampa and continue through the end of the following month, when they're scheduled to wrap up with a May 27 performance at this year's Rocklahoma festival. Tickets for all the shows will go on sale to the general public on March 3 at 10AM local time, but fans who've signed up at the band's official site or singer Chris Cornell's site are being granted access to a special presale that begins Feb. 28, also at 10AM local time.
In addition to the Rocklahoma gig, Soundgarden's spring tour will see them appearing at a number of festivals, including Tampa's Rockfest, Welcome to Rockville the following day in Jacksonville, and Rock on the Range in Columbus, Ohio on May 19. Take a look at the complete list of currently announced performances below.
While they work on their next record, Soundgarden's 2017 spring tour finds the band in reissue mode: their debut LP Ultramega OK is returning to stores in remastered and expanded form on March 10, following similar re-releases for their Badmotorfinger, Louder Than Love, and Down on the Upside albums last year.
