I like beer. My girlfriend likes dogs. It's like this event was made specifically for us.

Highlander Beer is teaming up with the Humane Society of Western Montana to raise money for the organization - they're calling it a fundraising GROWLer, and every time you fill one of their specially-made growlers at the brewery, they'll donate $2 to the Humane Society.

That's pretty great on its own, but check this out: this Wednesday, April 28th, Highlander will have a puppy photo booth set up where you can take pictures with an adorable puppy.

That goes from 4 PM to 6:30 PM, and while that event's going on, 50 cents of every pint sold will be donated to the Humane Society.

So if you're passionate about the cause of helping animals find homes, of if you just want to drink beer and see some cute dogs, this is probably an event to check out. Either way is pretty much a win-win.

Although I think Highlander should go one step further and actually create a new beer to tie in with their partnership with the Humane Society. Something like the Bark To The Future Lager or the Wagging Your Tail Ale - I'm just brainstorming here, we'll come up with something.

Think you'll be heading to Highlander Beer's puppy photo event this week? Will you be heading there more for the puppies or more for the beer? And, most importantly, can you think of any good dog-based puns you'd want to name a beer after?
